This semester in my I studying policy making in the security industry. I was tasked with making my own policy and learn what is important to include. When writing my own policy I made sure to include a policy purpose , policy scope, policy main points, compliance and non-compliance, definitions, and who to contact. Policies are important in the security industry because they ensure compliance and can mitigate security risks by displaying step by step procedures to ensure processes are correctly followed.
